Our Modified Exhaust Valve designed for more power, for the SMK QB, XS, TH 78, 79 models

Ours have a Stainless Steel shaft rather than the standard mild steel one

Also comes with the seal already to be fitted

The exhaust valve will unscrew so you can change the seal

The standard one is just pressed together

When fitting the seal to our valve, just unscrew the shaft from the brass head, then pick out the seal

Push in the new seal with the larger hole facing outwards and the smooth side facing outwards

put a tiny amount of Locktite on the threads of the shaft and screw in the shaft until it is level

Do not over tighten

Model 78 / 79 Replacement Valve Stem / Exhaust Valve

XS 78 Exhaust Valve is pressed together so you cannot change the seal

Ours is made to give more power and unscrews so you can change the seal

When replacing the seal make sure you put the new seal in with the smooth side facing outwards

The stainless steel shaft can be gripped by placing it in a vise or drill chuck, and then screw into the brass head, if it slips then gripping with a good piece of wet and dry would help
